| Company Name: |
Trillium |
| Introduction: |
Supply, install and maintain 44 x-ray scanners and train 1,000 staff to recognise suspect packages. |
| The Customer: |
Trillium manages the property infrastructure of a key Government Agency with 38 regional offices. |
| The Problem: |
The Government Agency received a number of letter bombs in February 2007 (along with some other high profile public and private bodies). One of these letter bombs caused hand injuries to a female post room worker. |
| The Todd Research solution: |
Todd Research was approached by Trillium to propose a detection solution and also a basic training course to staff based across the UK. Todd Reasearch proposed the TR15 for all regional offices and the TR70 conveyor x-ray scanner for high throughput locations. 1,000 + staff then received the TR safe or suspect seminar at regional locations or at the Agency’s head office. The training was rolled out in conjunction with an installation schedule (Sep-Nov 2007) that began in Aberdeen and proceeded south through the UK. A fully comprehensive maintenance contract covers the whole installed base providing next working day emergency callout as well as annual maintenance to ensure compliance with Ionising Radiation Regulations 1999 (IRR99). |
| Customer Comment: |
Procurement at Trillium said, ‘we found Todd Research to be a straightforward and professional company with which to deal. Their products were clearly the most advanced available and their whole solution the most economically advantageous for our client’. |
